What is great about this – is how often do we act like this in our life?? How often do we think we’re stuck, when all we need to do is just move ourselves, instead of letting the world around us move us until we get stuck. And then blame the world for us being stuck… Or expect someone else to solve all of our problems…
How hilarious is that?!!! Thanks for the laugh!!! Reminds me of getting frustrated when rattling a door sometimes, wondering why it is locked, only to find that I should push it instead! Like the Far Side comic “Midvale School for the Gifted”…one of my favs.
Lance – I’m in the midst of teaching my e-Seminar — I often smile at how many times the participants will tell me they’re stuck or that it can’t be done. I’ve heard myself utter those words way too often!
Sue – Whenever I catch myself in that kind of situation, I’ll say “Midvale School for the Gifted!” to myself. I LOVE that Far Side!
I love Far Side too and used to have ‘Midvale School for the Gifted’ stuck on my office wall – with a few others of his – (used to love the desk calendar – so funny!- can’t seem to get them anymore)- got a couple of his books too…
I wrote a while back about JP Morgan’s quote on the beginning of movement being the decision that staying put wasn’t an option (that’s not a quote, the quote is on my blog and I’m on the library internet due to storm damage.)
And I staunchly denied the upheaval posts could have anything to do with me. Okay, wrong again.

That is great! I’ve felt a bit like that lately. I’m going to tack a star on that one to keep around as a good self-starter.
