“Bob and I share a more positive perspective on a life and career in the arts, unlike the typical advice you find in books and at seminars,” says Kane, an accomplished full-time singer-songwriter, performer, teacher and writer whom The Washington Post called “a petite powerhouse of a singer.”

“Our goal is to use our combined knowledge to encourage each person that it’s possible to create a successful career regardless of what’s happening in the corporate music world,” Kane adds. “Musicians can go to any number of sources to hear depressing news about how difficult building a music career can be. But there’s another way to look at it — a different approach and mindset that’s worked wonders for me and the many artists Bob has mentored over the years.”

Kane regularly headlines at major events such as the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Kate Wolf Festival, and Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival. Her songs have been recorded by country diva Kathy Mattea and Nashville Star finalist Casey Simpson.

Bob Baker is an author, indie musician and former music magazine editor dedicated to showing musicians of all kinds how to get exposure, connect with fans, sell more music, and increase their incomes. His books include “Guerrilla Music Marketing Handbook” (which made a cameo appearance in the major motion picture “The School of Rock,” starring Jack Black), “MySpace Music Marketing,” “Unleash the Artist Within,” and “Branding Yourself Online.”

Baker has been featured on NPR’s “Morning Edition” and in magazines such as “Electronic Musician,” “American Songwriter,” “Music Connection” and “VIBE.” He has also been a speaker and panelist at many conferences, including SXSW, the Nashville New Music Conference, and the East Coast Music Awards in Canada.
