This Friday I’m flying to New York City. I begin recording my next CD on Saturday.

So, today I’m launching my new website…

BeMyRecordLabel.com.

Here’s the deal:

BeMyRecordLabel is where you get to be my record executive.  I’ll consult with you and involve you in lots of the creative decisions as well as the ups and downs of making a CD.  You get to join in as I make it.

AND – best of all – starting today, you get to pre-order the CD in various options of packages. Be sure to check out the contest to have a song written for you!

Hey Christine,
I think there may be a small hitch on the “be my record label” website. When I click to add a digital download to my cart, it adds a CD. When I click to add a CD, it adds a digital download. Just thought you should know.

I would loveand be honored to be your record label! However, I too came upon a clitch in the click.

Jon – Thanks for the heads-up! We’ll have that fixed soon!

Apparently, there’s also a glitch in the verification to be on the mailing list. You can still download the song – but the opt-in isn’t working. Thanks to all for letting me know about this! Keep the emails/comments coming. It helps us so we can serve you better! :-)

Thanks to all these cool people for the words of encouragement here! Here’s to everyone being a pioneer…

If I had 5 grand, I’d be your Exec Producer in a heartbeat!

H’ever, I’ll have to settle for mere fandom.

Your creativity amaze me. Have fun in New York. I will send you positive energy and thoughts. I am looking forward to your CD. The soul does sing a different tune and at times it is the best. You are standing up daring to explore. It is like the saying “build it and they will come!”

Christine-
You are now a CSA (Community Supported Artist!!)…getting seed money to plant and letting us partake of the harvest when it is available. I LOVE CSAs in all forms (agricultural and artistic) and am so glad to be a part of it.

OUCH… just want to be sure you (and your loyal fans) know that altho i don’t wanna be your record label – i DO wanna ABSOLUTELY join in this new adventure of yours. when i re.read my earlier post, i realized it *sounded* negative. NOT the message nor energy i want to send. sometimes my fingers don’t accurately type what’s in my heart.
HAVE FUN in NY and THANKS for this cool way to involve/engage us.

We have the Steve Seskind version of this as well. My husband got it at your last CD release party when he performed with you (I think). The party was during a particulary rough time in our marriage. He found himself at the Grey Eagle and discovered you. This is a fact he reminds me of every time I head off for a retreat or whatever. It’s kind of funny. It’s such a beautiful song…and one most of us can probably relate to on some level. Best to you this weekend!

Well, look at you! I heard you first in a place called “The Eagle” (I think) in Blackmountain, NC while on my vacation. I think it was your CD release party. Loved your music and performance. Bought your firt couple of cd’s, but then lost track of you. I just heard a song that reminded me of your very unique and beautiful voice. So…I googled you and at first thought I had the wrong Christine Kane. But no, you’ve evolved…and seem to be doing great. Great to see. And how cool id your “Be My Record Label” idea! I’ll have to replace the CD’s I lost and check out your latest.
And, I’ll have to check your tour dates…sure would love to catch you live. Do you ever get close to New Orleans. Lots of music lovers here in NO. How about a date playing at “the Parish” venue at the House of Blues. That would be just awesome!!

Well! Look at you – on the cutting edge where you belong! Good for you! I’ll definitely do what I can to be a part of this. Can’t wait for another CK CD. Heading out on a little road trip tomorrow and all my CK’s are packed and ready for listening on the road. Going to St Marys, GA & Cumberland Island for a last summer weekend before the school year starts.

BTW – I like your “Be My Record Label” site, especially for the simplicity of it–some websites are way too busy these days. I applaud you for saving a few $$ to put where it counts–making your music. Have an awesome experience in NYC! Looking forward to what you create while there. Hoping to see you at Eddie’s sometime soon.

Hey Christine,

Nice to see this idea in motion…being empowered is so deeply connected to empowering others and this is something you do with grace and ease!

Looking forward to watching things “unfold” and “flow” :)

Love and light,
