I could really use something to lift my spirit. In the last month I found out that my Amazon parrot has lymphoma and my 12 year old lab/greyhound mix (the love of my life) has a mass in her left lung. Christine can always make me smile.

Fun giveaway. If it helps to convince your pooch, tell her this: When my Cocoa (shih tzu) was a baby, he was often very sick. I’d take him downstairs to sleep on the pullout sofa at night so that his rapid release of fluids in all directions would not wake the rest of the family. I was pretty scared for him on a few nights, and when the two of us couldn’t sleep, I’d try to think of the most healing, love-filled music that I had in my library. We would drift in and out of sleep with none other than Christine Kane playing softly in the background. The music worked…he’s a healthy, happy 1 1/2 year old and those scary days are far behind us! Do I get extra points for having stopped to rescue a dog out of the road today? She was a beautiful Chesapeake bay retriever who ran right up to my truck ready to go for a ride.
How about for taking my fabulous four-legged for a hike (just the 2 of us) and swim (just her) at a nearby state park the other day? By the way, she loves it when I play thigh-drums to “Now That You Know”.
