I love my country.
AND as I meet more and more people from other countries on line and at my retreats, I feel more and more globally connected than ever. So, thinking of today as an American holiday just won’t do it until we’re all celebrating something together that doesn’t involve the freedom from a shared enemy – but freedom because of a common intention.
Michelle Small emailed this video to me this week, writing that she thought I’d love the creativity of it. I do. So will you. To read the whole story, click here.
Here’s to a world that dances, laughs, and shines for no particular reason.
Happy Independence Day to All!

I’ve seen this one several times, and each time I still get tears in my eyes. So beautiful seeing the simple joy of movement and connection.
Also, the video highlights the fact that all it takes to live a dream is acting on one simple idea. We can all be Matt, in our own ways! I’m working on believing it, and the video helps…

That was so joyous it made me cry. Clever beyond clever. Who needs words, let’s just dance a bit and smile…all over the world. It’s contagious. Thanks for sharing this one.

This is fantastic…and so well said – here’s to THAT World.
I got those happy chills too! I’m dancing (very badly) here in Salisbury England!
Some days the world isn’t such a big place after all!
Arlene
Thanks for that…you can’t help but smile…and how blessed is he to have seen all of the world…a lifetime dream for me.

Thank you! I really enjoyed it. Made me think of Canada Day. In Ottawa where I live there was a gathering of many nations to celebrate and there was a lot of dancing. The beauty of it all is we can be together just enjoying each other company. Have all a wonderful day today.

Love this story! I too, dance very badly, but I love to travel…maybe I’ll see if they need more people to travel the globe….it would beat sitting in my office on a holiday because I have NOOOOO vacation time.
Sue
Happy chills from head to toe. How can one NOT smile at that?!! Love the story too. Freaking fantastic. 🙂
Diane
Lets all dance and celebrate one nation under God.
Cheers to Stride Gum for funding Matt’s dancing…I think I’ll see if they want to have a mom and her son dancing too.
