Piccolo Spoleto Festival - Charleston, SC - Christine Kane

I’m driving to Charleston, SC this morning (Thursday) to rehearse with the Charleston Ballet Theatre. They will be performing with me (dancing during five or six songs) this Saturday at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival for TWO SHOWS. 5:30pm & 7:30pm.

The venue – Under the Angel Oak – is an outdoor stage under a huge Live Oak tree, called The Angel Oak. (Live Oaks are my favorite tree in the world, and this tree is about 1,400 years old, and thought to be the oldest tree east of the Mississippi River.) This stage has been called “the most unique performance venue of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.” I’m quite excited to be performing for another dance event.

If you know anyone in Charleston or if you live in Charleston or thereabouts, then come see me! (And be sure to say hi!)

I’m knowing that you had beautiful performances last night. I was listening to you and sending good vibes your way on my drive home sometime during your second set. xo.

    Hi Christine

This is my first time here and I just want to say how much I’ve enjoyed browsing through these posts. A beautiful blog… thank you so much.

And “Leap and the net will appear”. What a fantastic mantra for life! I love that.

Wow, the Angel Oak…what a beautiful tree! Happy travels and hope you have a great show in such a beautiful and sacred spot!

P.S. Giving up complaining about gas prices? That might be as hard as giving up TV 😉
Just joking, but I do agree with you that the uncomfortable gas prices will promote change; a change for the better and that I am grateful for! In Salt Lake, the house I’m living in is being off-set with wind power which I think is pretty cool!

I called a friend who lives in Charleston just yesterday to tell her about your performance! We visited the Angel Oak last time I was down there, last spring… it is really breathtaking! What a beautiful space to perform! Hope you enjoy your time there.

    Gassho~
